Airplane dreams

One of my brothers new hobbies is RC aircraft. He had 3 airplanes and 6 or 7 helicopters. Sunday after church we all went to the park to watch him fly his newest plane. Eric made the plane do loop after loop. Landing the pane is the hard part. Eric said he has crashed many many times. Most of the time he can fix it but sometimes he can't. Taydom loved it. He wanted to fly it so bad. Maybe when he get older. For now Eric is had a computer program that has the same controls as the RC plane. Taydom can play that one and crash that one as much as he wants.

Roasting Marshmallows

Friday night we roasted marshmallows in the fire pit. The kids had a great time. Vilate was upset she kept burning her's until I showed her a good spot. All her marshmallows were golden brown and just perfect after that. Taydom held his over the fire for just a few seconds and them popped them right into his mouth. I told him they would be extra yummy if he would let them get warm and gooly but he said he liked them just the way they were. The kids wanted to sleep outsid in tents that night but the wather man said it could rain so I made them sleep inside. They were sad but dry that night.

Moutain trip

While I was in Arizona Tyson took the kids hiking in Castlewood Canyon. They had a great time. The Canyon is not very big but it has some really pretty rock formations. The kids were so glad to take a trip to the mountains.

Tyosn said Vilate got sand in her pants from the river and walked like a duck the rest of the time. I am so glad the kids like to hike. I have always loved the mountain and hiking. I going to have to plan another trip really soon. The aspen trees should be turning, I do not want to miss that.

Baby Sealing

This last weekend I went to Arizona for the sealing of my new nephew. My sister and her husband have been trying for a long time to have and child but have not been successfully. As soon as they decided to try adopting they heard of a child that needed a home. They have been living in Italy with the air force and the birth mother was also in Italy with the army just an hour away. On July 14th 2007 just 5 weeks later Karen was there for the birth and took her new baby home. The adoption process was long but it was finally final on Aug 29th 2008. Karen and Dixon invited all the family to Arizona to their new home for the sealing in the Mesa Temple.

My sisters and Mom. Amy, Karen, Kathy, Me and Kelsey.

so.... I've been a little depressed.

It has been a hard past few weeks. Getting the kids in school, unpacking, organizing our storage unite and just settling in. I have been having a hard time emotional too....so I decided to look for things to help make me fell better about being away from the Northborough

I love Sonic. The food is good but that is not why I like the place. They make the best drinks. You can order anything you want. Tyson's favorite is Strawberry, vanilla, Dr. Pepper, Vilate loves the peach smoothies, Taydon like the strawberry slushy and my fovorite is a blue coconut cream slushy.

I have always loved to ride bikes. Denver has a ton of bike paths. I use to take the kids in a bike trailer when they were younger. I am so glad they are now able to ride their our bikes with me on the trails.

On September 12th (my birthday) the high country got it's first dusting of snow. It's so cool to see snow on the mountain

not in Boston any more

The Winfreys do not live in Boston any longer. :( We took a week to travel across the country and tried to make a vacation out of it. We loved seeing the church history signs on the way. I enjoyed seeing the kids love Nauvoo. I did not want to leave. As soon as we left and heading west I could not help but think that we were going the wrong way. We need to be going east, not west. But we kept going west and west some more until we reach Denver. Last night Vilate had a hard night. She was crying and said " I miss my friends and teacher in Boston. I do not want to live in the dry land. Mommy, I don't want to put lotion on, I do not like lotion, I do not like the dry land. I want to live in Boston and go to the beach." Tonight after putting the kids in bed Taydom came out just crying his eye out. "Mommy I want to go home." "Were is HOME?" I asked him. "You know, Boston Massachusetts." He sat and cried on my lap for awhile. I cried too. Denver is my home, and I love Denver, but right now I do not want to be here. I do not want to battle these battles, or fight these fights that I know are coming. I will enrolling the kids in school tomorrow, and Wednesday I have an appointment to meet with the Special Ed personal. And so it starts...
