Scout bird house

Taydom had the best time building a bird house last Wednesday at scouts. Some of the older scouts and leaders here there to help the boys build them. I just sat back and let someone help him. We hung the bird house in the tree in the back. Hopefully we will soon a little neighbor.

Sock Hop

Every year the kids school put on an end on the year fundraiser. Everyone wears 50's dress and they have a dance with dinner and games. Vilate spends most of the time on the dance floor this friends and Taydom runs around playing games.

Flash back!
Here are a few picture from 2006 sock hop. My, how the kids have grown.

I did not see this photo opp this year...I kinda missed it.

My skirt is in storage. Bummer, I could not were it this year.

snow sledding

We have not had much snow this winter and what snow we did get melted by the time the kids got home from school. They have wanted to go sledding so bad. Two weekends ago we finally got a good snow. It started snowing Friday afternoon and did not stop until Saturday early evening. It started raining right after but the kids really wanted to go sledding and so out we went. They only lasted 20 minutes max because they got so cold and wet but they had a blast.

He had hot apple cider and snuggled under warm blankets once we got got home. Vilate's legs were so red and icy. It took a long time to warm them up.

Easter

We had a great Easter this year. We started the week off by making baskets out of paper mache with newspaper and balloons. In the Colorado dry air it only took 2 1/2 day for them to dry. I saw this on a freind blog last year and wanted to give it a try and sence our Easter baskets were in storage I thought it might be a fun craft to do.

I spray painted them and the kids later painted flowers, rabbits and Easter eggs on them. Taydoms had to be blue, Vilate wanted red (her new favorite color) and Maddy's was purple.

Saturday afternoon we were invited to an Easter egg hunt and lunch. The kids had a great time, and Tyson and I saw some friends from our old ward. I was great to reconnect with them again.

Saturday night was a busy night. We started it coloring eggs, and finished itdoor bell ditching.

It one of the kids new favorite things to do. I think they get a kick out of the running away and finding part the best.
