Last night was Pack Meeting. The theme for the month was "Go for the Gold". All mouth long we talked about doing your best and had lots of fun games were the scouts tried to do their best. At Pack Meeting all the boys brought something that they had done in the past that they were proud. Each boy had a chance to talk about it and how they worked hard to achieve it. Taydom brought one of his Gold metal and a picture of his relay team.

Hore Back Riding
June 23 Vilate went to a friends birthday party at a horse ranch. She had a great time. They had a small tour of the barn and stables and learned what it takes to take care of a house. The best thing of all was getting to ride the horse. She walk right up to it without any fear, climbed the steps, put her foot in the stirrup and swung the other foot over. The helper turned to me and a said, "Has she been riding before?" " No. " "Well, she is a natural, she had no problem."

Service
June 19th Vilate joined me at a Relief Society service evening. We went to Sister Peters house to weed and clean up her yard. Vilate worked hard and really helped out. It was great to have her there that night. Sister Peters lives on the Northborough lake were is a family of swans have become accustom to her voice and come when she calls. She called them and put some food out so Vilate could see them. Vilate has talked alot about the swans and wants to go back soon.

balloon blowing
Taydom got some water balloons for a gift from our Home Teachers. Saturday night the kids decided they wanted to blow then up. I told them water balloons were hard to blow up because they are thicker so they can hold water. Well...they wanted to try it anyways. It was so funny to watch them blow and blow. Vilate's poor face. I had to make a video.

Field Day
Friday June 13th was Field Day. The kids played outside all day fun field games the gym teacher had set up. I volenteered to help out with the games so sent all day at the school too. It was such a nice day to be outside. It was in the 80s with slight breeze and very low humidity. There were so many games to play. The gym teacher was well prepare and everyone seem to have a great time. Each kid had a buddy they needed to stay with at all times. Vilate's buddy was Rachael and Taydom's buddy was Ryan. We need to get their phone numbers so the kids can have play dates with them this summer.
Taydom said his favorite game was the bumper bells (I did not get a picture) and Vilates favorite thing was the bubbles and when the teacher through the wet spongers at her. It was fun to see Taydom play football but he said he did not like it very much.

Scouts Water games
Every Wednesday I go to the church to be a scout leader. My den (Wolfs) currently has 4 boys, but most of the times I have the Bears with my den. That gives me 8 boys, but last Wednesday the Webloes leaders was going in for surgery and I said I would take his den too. That gave me 11 boys, ranging in age from 8-11. Yikes! We had a great time playing water games. It had been so hot the past few days everyone welcome the cool water. Ofcoures the older boys went after the younger ones. The younger boys seemed to get more wet than the older ones. I guess it is a right of passage, All boys must go through it.

The 3 H's.
The past few days have just been miserable. We have been above 95 for the past 4 days. Hazy Hot and Humid. The schools here do not have AC and so the poor kids have been dieing at school. The class room window are open and they do have fans but still is just sticky, sticky, sticky. The kids have been sleeping on the floor in Tyson and my room. We are not able to put AC in their rooms and so it hard to sleep. Tyson and I have AC in our room and so we have a party in our room at nights.
A friend from church invited us and any others to come swim in their pool. On Monday 27 people here there and Tuesday 36 people. It should cold down some today. The forecast is to be 86 today. The cool water was a nice welcome.
Tonight in scouts and I don't know if the church will have the AC on. I might need to plan some water game outside.

100 meter dash
The 100 meter dash. Taydom came in first and got a Gold Metal. The parents and family of the other boy said that Taydom cheated. They said Taydom cut their son off and pushed their son throughout the race. Hummmmmm.... I may be a blind mom to things my kids do, but I don't see any pushing or anyone cutting anyone off. It is sad how some parents have such bad sportsmanship. I did not think I would see that in Special Olympics.

4x100 meter relay
Garrett (left) Raymond (Back) Taydom (front) Damian (right)
Taydom and Raymond were hamming it up all day. When Taydom first saw Raymond run he was very shocked at how fast Raymond was. For a while at practice Taydom did not want anything to do with Raymond. Taydom said " Mommy, he's too fast! I do not want to race him. He' s too fast!" But as practices continued they soon became friends and at the meet they laughed and had a great time. It was like they had been friends for years. Her they are burping the ABC's

Gone Fishin'
One of Taydom's friends told us about a Scouting Fishing derby. Saturday we went fishing at Marlborough Fishing and Game Fishing pound. It was the kids first time fishing. They had a blast. They learned how to cast the fishing pole really quickly. Both the kids caught 4 or 5 fish. (We lost count.) They did not want to touch the fish or the warms. It was catch and release. I am so glad we did not have to take them home for dinner.
After the kids fished Tyson pulled out a different lure and caught a big one his third cast. The kids were so impressed.
