My little SocIal Butterfly

We love Papa. This was his first time holding Ellyse. We were in Dodge City for Christmas.

Ellyse has gotten strong and is able to hold her head. She loves to talk to people and is very social. She will talk your ear off and does not like to have her back to the group. She wants to be held out so she can see what is going on. My Little Social Butterfly

Ellyse's Blessing

The first Sunday in December was Ellyse's blessing. I was a great day for our family. My mom bought a blessing bless a few years ago for my sister but she had a boy and so it sat unused for about 6 years. I liked the dress but not the lace. It looked very Gothic and Catholic so I was not use if I wanted to use it. After looking around and not finding something I liked that was within my price range I decided to use the dress. I removed all the lace very carefully around the sleeves, collar and bottom of the dress. I tatted some lace to replace the lace I removed. I think it turned out very nice.

I started tatted these booties after learning that we were having a girl with the ultra sound. They took about 30 hours each. They may not have taked so long but I have not tatted for a few years. I tatted the same booties for Vilate blessing.

We also took a family photo that day. I think I turned out pretty good. We are so excited and very gratefully to have Ellyse a part of our family.

Gingerbread Houses

Every year we make Gingerbread Houses around the Holidays. We save so of our Halloween candy to use on our houses. This year we found some new kits in the local grocery store. They had Santa Sleigh, a Christmas train, and a few others to choose from. Vilate made a train and Taydom made a house. It is so fun to see how creative the kids can be. Ellyse joined the fun too. She loves the swing.

Christmas concet

Taysom and Vilate had their Holiday Concert the first week in December. The music teacher at their school is really a good. I was so impressed with them. Vilate class sang a really cute fast pasted song. I wish I took a video of it. Taydom did not want to do it sing, so I told him he had to stand there but it was okay if he did not sing.

Both of the kids were really proud of themselves and so were we. If was a great way to start December.

Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving we tried hard to keep it as health as possible. Tyson and his parents have been doing Weight Watchers scene July. I am so proud of Tyson. He has lost 70+ lbs. Both of his parents have lost alot too. I did Weight Watcher too for a few weeks to help we loose the baby weight after Ellyse was born. All the food was really good, it did not taste like low fat at all. I loved the sweet potatoes the best.

G.N.O

Vilate, Ellyse and I went to see the local college orchestra. It was alot of fun until Ellyse got hungry. After feeding Ellyse and taking her back home to Tyson, Vilate and I went to go get pie together.

another Home Depot project

Another Home Depot trip. It was Ellyse first one an she sleep through the whole thing.

Taydom and Vilate made a white board court board combo. It had a lot a steps to assemble the board but both kid did a great job. They are getting really good a hammering nails and assembling things.

Little Pumpkins

We got an early frost storm and by the time we went to get our pumpkins there wasn't any that had not been damaged from the frost. The kids were bummed and then we saw small sweet pumpkins that are used in pies and baking. Tadydom and Vilate each picked two and then we got a tiny one for Ellyse. They were too small to carve so we painted them. I think the kids had mor fun painting them they usually do carving.

Meeting the New Sister

Taydom and Vilate finally met Ellyse a few day later. Vilate had been sick and we wanted her to have a few extra days to get better. With the H1N1 virus the hospital had a rule that no children were allowed unless they were admitted. It was sad that Taydom and Vilate could not come to the hospital but it worked out because they were able to getter better and Ellyse did not get sick.

Vilate and Taydom could not wait to meet Ellyse and were all smile to hold her for the first time.

Going Home

October 17 around 7:00pm we headed home from the hospital. Tyson brought a cute pink sweatsuit outfit. Of course it was huge on her.

Bring Ellyse home was great. It was early in the evening but we all went to bed. It was a long day.

GG and Grandma come to visit

The day after Ellyse was born Grandma and Grandma Great came to visit her in the hospital. GG cries alot when she is happy and she was all tears. Grandma fussed alot too.

Vilate"s Baptism

October 11 was Vilate 8th birthday; it was also her baptism day. Not may people are baptized on their birthday. Vilate was very lucky to have her birthday and baptism on the same day.

Tyson baptized her in the same fount were he was baptized 13 years ago. She was all smiles as she came out of the water.
We are very proud of her making the choice to be baptized and to follow Jesus. We love you Vilate. You are truly a blessing in our life.

Baby Shower

Early October my sister hosted a baby shower for me. I was a great time. Many of my friends were braved it thought a clod snow storm to make it here with me.
We played many fun games and had a great time. It made me feel so good to have some many people come and tell me how happy there were for me.

This cute cake was made by you sister. She is so amazing. Thanks Sis. You are the best. I appreciate you and your friendship so much.

Cub scouts and lizards

October's pack meeting was amazing. One of the boy's father in our pack owns a business were he show reptile for education.
The kids loved it. Many of the boys and some of the other family members were able to hold most of the reptiles.

Taydom would not get by them at all.
It was a fun evening for everyone.

ER and EKG

One afternoon Taydom was having a hard time at school. He wanted to get away from is teachers, turn around and ran head first into a wall. The school called me and I got there as fast as I could. At first he appeared to be fine but after awhile he lost consciousness. He was out for what seemed forever. We called 911 and was on the phone with them when Taydom woke up. Because he was able to talk and move his body with out help we decided to take him to the ER rather them having an ambulance come.

The ER took him back right away. The doctor looked at him and check him out every well. First he had an X-ray of his neck to make sure nothing was broken there. Then an MRI to look at his brain. The last test was an EKG that came back slightly off. We made an appointment for a pediatrics cardiologist. A few days later we went to our appointment. They found a small abnormality in his heart rhythm but the doctor said nothing to worry about. Everything is okay

Lunch with Vilate

One day in September, I wanted to surprise Vilate with a fun lunch date. I stopped and picked up a sampler platter of lasagna, fetachnii alfredo, and spaghetti.

Vilate was so surprised and excited to see her lunch. We divided everything in half and sat out side in front of the school. We talked about everything and had a great time.

Snuggies

For Christmas Tyson gave the family some Snuggies. WE LOVE THEM! There is hardly a day that goes by that I do not use one. Taydom loves to use them while he is playing his video games. A blanket with slaves: who'd thought they would be so fabulous.

Vilate asked for my camera and these are a few of the photos Taydom and her took.
